Learn More About Aracelli Bonaudi Founder and Lead Therapist Of Southwest Myofascial Release
Who Is Aracelli Bonaudi, Founder Of Southwest Myofascial Release?
Aracelli Bonaudi was born and raised in a small town in Uruguay. After spending some time there, she eventually moved to New York and became a specialized physical therapist.
When she is not healing people and improving the lives of others, Aracelli spends a great deal of her time at church and is a pillar of her community. Most of her free time is spent driving people to church and helping them with grocery shopping. Her passion is to help others and it’s something that brings her tremendous joy.
When Aracelli was 17, she suffered a terrible accident. A brick fence fell on her legs, crushing her foot which placed Aracelli in the hospital for 45 days. After several surgeries and skin grafts, she was able to keep her foot but she lost movement in the joint. The trauma affected her entire body, leaving it tight and in pain. She couldn’t walk normally because the tension in her calf muscles prevented her heel from touching the ground. For years following the accident, she couldn’t understand what was wrong with her or why her condition wasn’t getting any better.
Later, Aracelli decided to study physical therapy and moved to New York where she worked in an outpatient clinic. One day, her supervisor commented that she had a natural healing ability and recommended she take classes with John Barnes on myofascial release. She decided to give it a try, and it changed her life. Through this therapy, she began to heal – both physically and emotionally. She regained movement, releasing years of tension, stress, and frustration that had built up over 35 years. Aracelli decided to open her own practice, a place where she could help others heal. She understands the pain others are going through, especially when doctors dismiss it as “being in your head” or prescribe endless pills and injections that don’t work.
In her personal journey, traditional physical therapy didn’t work, nor did massages or other treatments. It wasn’t until she discovered John Barnes’ myofascial release approach – gentle, slow, and authentic – that she truly began to recover. This is why she decided to open her practice – to help people heal naturally.
